Suede

Meet beautiful 9 year old Suede. Her owners reached out us to surrender her, then they dropped her off at the shelter later that same day! As you can imagine, Suede is so confused! After being held at the shelter for 10 long days, when we were finally able to get her out, she was frantically searching and crying for her family! She was practically inconsolable! It was apparent Suede hadnt been to see a vet in a very long time. She had severely infected ears, scabs and sores and a horrible bacterial infection all over her body. As a senior, she was in need of blood work to determine if her organs are properly doing their jobs. Her blood work came back perfect, and we couldn’t be happier! As you can see from the pictures, Suede has a lot of life and love left to give! She’s a big girl at about 90 lbs, and she loves to chase a ball or squeaky toys, or anything that moves. She’s made it clear that she is going to need to be the only pet in the home, and we feel a home without young children would be best for this beauty. She deserves all the love and attention she can get by being the center of attention with her new family. The family who won’t dump her like yesterday’s news just because she has gotten older and has a few medical issues that, had they been addressed earlier, would have been easily treated. If you can offer Suede that soft bed and some time to throw toys for Suede, please fill out our online adoption or foster application. Because we don’t want the senior rescue dogs to be our best kept secret any longer. You cannot imagine the feeling of being loved by a senior rescue dog. It’s something you have to experience to understand.
