Say a big warm hello to Carson.  In a joint effort between the Humane Society in Carson City and Vegas Shepherd Rescue, Carson’s life was saved from euthanasia today.   Surrendered at 5 years old at 102lb with low stamina, and hip problems most likely stemming from poor conformation and way too much weight on him, he had little to no interest in him during his 2 1/2 months in the shelter.   He even was enrolled in Pups On Parole and learned basic obedience.  He will be going on supplements and a diet, as well as an exercise regimine to help bring the weight off.   We met halfway with the transfer team who cried as we drove away because he’s such a sweet boy and they were grateful to have been able to find a way to save his life.   Carson seems extremely particular about his doggy friends and can be reactive towards most, so no dogs for him at this time.   He bonds so quick and is full of love to give.  If you would like to foster or adopt Carson please apply.  Further updates will come as we get to know him better.   Carson has been at the shelter for 2 1/2 months.  Please consider fostering to give him a chance to truly decompress and be comfortable.  ❤️🐾
