Poor, confused Nelly was dumped at the local shelter after living with the same family for all of her 3 years of life.  She has no idea why they gave up on her and neither do we.  She couldn’t have been much trouble, since its apparent they never let her inside the house.  Nelly is now living in a foster home learning that inside things and noises are not going to hurt her.  Nelly is a sweet girl, who needs a patient and calm household to call her own.  If you can open your heart and home to Nelly, she will repay you with loyalty and unconditional love.  Filling out our online adoption application is the first step to making Nelly your own.  Adopting Nelly may not change the world, but it will make your life and Nelly’s life a little slice of heaven.

Recently it’s been discovered that our lovely little Nelly has epilepsy.  Her seizures are managed with a prescription drug that she will need for the rest of her life.  Her dose is where it needs to be, but she will have to have blood work done a few times a year.  She has not had a seizure since she has been on the medication.  Don’t tell Nelly she is a special needs dog, because she doesn’t know or act like one.  If you have a home that is missing a young, beautiful dog, and you don’t mind going that little extra mile that a special needs dog requires, then please consider adopting Nelly.  Because changing the world for Nelly will be a change you will never regret making.
