About Us

Vegas Shepherd Rescue was founded in 2012 and remains the only German Shepherd Rescue in Southern Nevada. We are an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing.

VSR is committed to rescuing and caring for abandoned, surrendered and abused dogs. We consider this commitment a privilege and are passionate about sheltering and comforting our rescued friends until the right homes are found.

Our organization is comprised of a group of dedicated individuals from all walks of life who share a common bond and passion for the breed. The welfare of our dogs is of utmost importance to our group and volunteers. We dedicate our time,

money and resources to provide medical care, behavioral training and safe and caring shelter until their forever families are found.

We fly under the banner of the German shepherd breed, but we also help other working dogs such as Dutch shepherds, Belgian Malinois and German shepherd mixes. We realize we can’t save all dogs from abuse and neglect, but we are never going to turn our backs on the ones we can help.
